The Highland Horse Council is a Chapter of the {Ohio Horsemans Council} ,a group of horse people who are dedicated to serving the equine community. The purpose of the OHC is to promote the interest of the entire horse industry in Ohio; through political awareness and public information, and by developing a close working relationship among individuals, families and organizations who recognize the importance of the horse industry to the social and economic well being of Ohio.
The OHC was started in 1972 as a grass roots movement of horse people who felt that an organization that has no breed affiliation or private interests to serve was needed to represent united horsemen of Ohio. We seek to improve horse shows facilities at the local, county, and state level. We are also developing new equine competitive contests. We sponsor trail rides and help maintain established trails, ae well as create new ones. We actively support community charities. As a group, the OHC supports the equine lifestyles. We buy horses,feed,trailers,trucks,tack,building & fence supplies,and training & veterinarian services; thereby supporting local horse related activities. Our Goal is to be and remain a Family Oriented Club.

The Highland County Chapter was estabished in 1995. The Highland Horse Council was formed to provide a place for local Equine Enthusiates to come together and interact socially, to share ideas, to identify common objectives, to have family oriented fellowship before the meeting, and work on common goals. We always welcome New Guests & any Ideas you have to offer. Our monthly meetings are at Stephano's Pizza on Harry Sauer Road in Hillsboro, Ohio on the 1st Thursday of each month (except for our Christmas meeting).
